Soo Theatre Arts Resource Studios (STARS) will present a spring ensemble concert Sunday May 4, at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 555 Bingham St., Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Donations will be accepted to benefit the STARS music department.
Featured on this program will be the Flute Choir, Flute Club, Intermediate Youth Orchestra, Senior Youth Orchestra, and the Youth Chorus. Also performing on the program will be the string quartet of Melanie Case, Anna Hirt, Cara VanDusen, and Elizabeth Jacobus, as well as mezzo soprano Shirley Wilkinson and soprano Lola Kennedy. All musicians performing are students of STARS.
The Flute Choir and Flute Club are under the direction of Meg Stevens. The Youth Chorus is directed by Karen Hughes. Nancy Powers conducts the Intermediate Youth Orchestra and Dottie Case leads the Senior Youth Orchestra.
Soo Theatre Arts Resource Studios (STARS) is a community arts center offering instruction in music, dance, theater, visual arts and yoga for students of all ages.
