STARS Announces Additional Winter 2007 Classes

Friday, February 2, 2007, 6-7 p.m. Ballroom Dancing Club.
The classes started 1/26/07 with approximately 2 dozen dancers in attendance. Fee for the club is $5.00 a month

Saturday, February 3, 2007, 10:30-12:00 p.m., Monet and Me.
A parent/child workshop for grades 1-5. Fee is $12.00 each. Explore the world of visual art using reproductions of the great masters. Led by Linda Whitetree Warrington. Advance registration is required.

Monday, February 5, 2007, 6-7 p.m., Youth Chorus begins
Middle and High School Singers, Directed by Karen Hughes. $40.00 Membership fee. Register today.

Soo Theatre Project Receives 2006 Community Spirit Award

SAULT STE. MARIE, January 31, 2007—One of several Eastern Upper Peninsula organizations and agencies to be recognized by the Old Mission Bank through its 2006 Community Spirit and Community Pride Award program, Soo Theatre Project recently received a Community Spirit Award, which included a gift of $1000 to help fund its endowment program. Said David E. Firack, President/CEO of Old Mission Bank, “These awards are in recognition of each group’s dedication to the preservation of community, our safety and enjoyment of life which relies so heavily on the Spirit of our area volunteers who give unselfishly of themselves."
